THERE will be a new man in the hot seat when water watchdog the Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) meets in public at its Birmingham headquarters on Tuesday, May 12.

Chairman Alan Lovell will take charge of his first CCWater board meeting in public since succeeding Dame Yve Buckland, who stepped down at the end of March after ten years at the helm.

The meeting at Victoria Square House in Birmingham is a good opportunity for water customers to find out how CCWater has been working on their behalf.

Alan Lovell, Chair of CCWater said: “I’m looking forward to chairing my first meeting in public as we reflect on what has been a challenging but successful year representing water customers.

“Our efforts to put customers at the heart of the recent price setting process have delivered significant benefits which we’ll be reviewing, as well as discussing some of the challenges that lie ahead.”

Water customers will have the opportunity to raise their own issues of interest or concern during a short session after the meeting begins at 11am.
